About The Artist

Hi, I’m Neelam, an illustrator, dreamer, and mama, and the creative heart behind NEEM.

My journey began long before NEEM existed, back when I was a 12-year-old girl sketching outfits in the corners of my notebooks, dreaming of creating a world filled with color, stories, and meaning. I started my career as a graphic designer, where I learned how visuals can speak without words and how every line and shade can hold emotion.

But deep down, I always dreamed of bringing art to life, not just on screens, but through something people could wear and feel. That dream eventually grew into NEEM, a fashion line built from my illustrations, blending art, storytelling, and family into one whimsical world.

To be honest, I hesitated for a long time before starting this journey. I was afraid of failing, of not being ready, of stepping into something so close to my heart. But becoming a mother changed everything. My daughter, Maïa, even though she’s only one year old, has been my greatest teacher. She gave me strength and courage to finally chase my dream, to show her that she too is capable of anything she believes in.

Now I see creativity in a new light. Each transformation, from artist to designer to mother, has grounded me in ways I never expected. I’ve come to believe that change doesn’t take us away from who we are; it brings us closer, softens us, and makes life feel even more beautiful.

Every piece I create carries a part of that journey, a reminder that growth and art can exist in the same breath.
